Paediatrics

Dr Don Butler MBBS FRACP (Paed)

Dr Donald Butler trained as a general paediatrician and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Over the last 25 years he has specialised in behavioural paediatrics, focusing on ADHD for the last decade. He is also a member of the Australaisian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA).

Over his long professional career spanning over 40 years, he has been a senior lecturer in paediatrics at Sydney University, head of department at 4 hospitals, and then changed to behavioural medicine (ADHD) when he found this work to be more rewarding. Until this year he was an honorary lecturer at Notre Dame University, teaching medical students. His particular interest is the neuroscience of behaviour, especially as it applies to ADHD. His neuroscience approach enables efficient and targeted management whilst taking a warm, holistic approach involving parental education and empowerment.

Dr Butler is taking referrals and commencing practice at Mindsight Clinic in January 2025.
